He has won six NBA championships and coached four teams to the NBA Finals.

He is the first coach to be inducted.
Here’s how Coach Steve has been able to coach at such an elite level for so long.

He asked me if I wanted to be a coach and I said, ‘Sure, why not.’
He wanted me to be his assistant coach at the University of New York.
He made me the head basketball coach there, but I didn’t take it very seriously.
After I got the job, he said, I’m going to try to find another assistant coach and make him a better coach.
I tried, but he was going to have to come back to New York and recruit me.
I had never been in a team meeting before and didn’t know anything about the organization.
So I had to learn about it.
I went to a lot of meetings and I thought I was getting better, but it wasn’t true.
He had just come from a championship run and was trying to do the same thing.
I think that was the first time I was trying out and really learning the game.
Steve was a true mentor.
Coach Steve’s coaching philosophy is based on the concept of team play.
He believes that every team has the ability to get a lot out of one player.
He emphasizes team-first tactics.
His players know how to play the game and how to react in the moment.
He says he wants the game to be played to the point where you can’t control your emotions and you have to play in the right way.
The players know that the more they practice and the better they are, the better the team is going to be.
When I was coaching him, he was an All-Star in the 1990s and 2000s.
I remember watching him in the 2002 All-NBA second team.
He became a great teammate.
Coach Steve is a guy who loves the game of basketball.
He loves to get guys going and he loves to put his players in positions to succeed.
He doesn’t get into a lot into details.
He wants you to understand what the players are thinking and what the coaches are doing.
It’s a great learning experience for the players, coaches and fans.
He loves to compete and has a winning mentality.
He plays a lot with his players, including playing the role of the coach.
When he was playing, he would get a team to practice for three hours and the rest of the time he was just in the locker room.
He’s not going to tell the players what to do.
If he has to tell them to do something, he wants them to make it work.
He won championships playing for the New Orleans Pelicans, so he’s a leader.
He works hard for his players and wants to help them win.
He really has a passion for the game that makes him one of those guys who can coach anybody, be it a freshman, a senior or a Hall of Famer.
Coach Nash is a great coach.
He puts the team first and he knows how to get the best out of every player on his team.
The player can do anything he wants.
I love the game so much that I want to coach it like that.
I don’t want to be too far from that.
He can coach you from the sideline or on the court.
He also has the discipline and intensity to win.
I’ve seen his players get through tough times and he’s not afraid to say, ‘You have to work harder.’
He has great character and he is a winner.
Coach Jeff Van Gundy, former player and coach, says, “Coach Nash was the most accomplished coach I ever played for.”
I’ve coached him and he was outstanding.
He never wanted to lose and never wanted anything to get in his way.
I coached him as a rookie and I was like, ‘He’s a real competitor.
He’ll do anything for you.’
He is a very passionate guy and he will give you 100 percent.
He didn’t care what people said about him.
He wanted you to be the best.
He has a very hard-working and humble personality.
I always say that he’s the best coach I’ve ever coached because he always pushes you to the next level.
He just loves the players.
He knows how it should be played and the team should be playing at the highest level.
I wish I could have coached him more but it’s hard because he’s so talented. He could
